'Conversation is the best learning technology ever invented.' Jay Cross
The best way for adults to learn is not primarily through formal courses. In fact, adults learn most while working on new tasks or projects (workplace learning). A big part of learning also takes place in interaction with other humans (social learning). But don't forget: Reflection is always key to nurture this learning process (see tip 2).
Where can you start? Find a mentor or coach to support you. If you don't have the right one nearby, try coaching via Skype. It really works! Join (online) conferences and learn from others. Take on that stretch project that your boss has suggested.
Take 10 minutes now to look at your diary, eliminate some formal courses and slot in more time for real 'human' interaction & project work.
