'Do not mess with intrinsic motivation. Amplify it instead to create delight.' Jake Orlowitz
Learning without motivation doesn't work. Lasting behavioral change strongly depends on your positive attitude.
So what do you do if you don't have the choice? One idea is the following: Step 1: Write a list with two or three specific future situations in which this knoweldge or skill will help you. Make an effort and you will always find some. Step 2: Select one of these situations. Find a time when you can be on your own with no interruptions. Sit down comfortably, close your eyes, and take a couple of deep breaths. Then visualize the positive future state in which you are applying what you have learned. Visualize in every detail: What do you see, what do you hear, how does it feel, etc. Afterwards draw a little sketch or write down a word that represents this situation.
When you go into the training, take the sketch or word with you and put it on your table next to you so that it constantly reminds you of your positive vision. Your learning experience will be much more fun & sustainable.
